Summary:
The movie Case 39 is about a social worker that adopts an alleged abused child. The child, Lilith, experiences all types of affects and the social worker looks further into Lilith’s case. Lilith was acting like an abused child, but really was being controlled by a demon.
Reflection:
In my paper, I touch on the subject of adoption and how it affects children. Case 39 is an example the of affects a child can encounter after being adopted.

Summary:
The affects of trauma in a child’s life create a huge impact on them in the future. Children that have traumatic life events happen in their lives are often found closely related to abuse cases. Many children develop symptoms that cause their everyday life function to change. Professionals say that over time psychological treatment can help.
Reflection:
Trauma is a main point that I will address in my paper. I believe when I research trauma in children of the modern world, I can understand the children in the movies I research. Trauma is a common thing in horror movies related to children. With the understanding of how trauma affects children, the trauma of children in horror movies become clearer. With a clear explanation and examples of trauma, I know this article will be very helpful to me in writing my paper.

Since the movie was born, horror movies are one type of important film, but in today's flooded horror movies, it outright violence in the adult world, subject to the murder. It seems to have begun to form a visual fatigue, one of the masses. Film generated fears also slowly present a numbness. In order to revive the horror film grand and powerful. And also in order to revive the peaks, slow show the terrorist's point of view. Slowly turning to the children - that the most easily neglected, too easy to damage of weak character.
Reflection:
I believe the summaries of the three movies, Case 39, The Shining and The Ring, will really show me examples of each movie and how it relates to my topic of the behavior of children in horror movies. In each of these movie examples the children act different ways. Through further research I collect about these movies, I will really be able to see how each child is affected through gender, family dynamics, trauma and the supernatural.

Relating the neglect of a child to the way they grow up is an interesting thought. A perfect example of this is portrayed through the movie The Shining. This movie is about a young boy with psychic powers and a father who struggles with the relationship of his family. How the “legacy of despair, alcoholism and violence” relate to this child in his adult life.
Reflection:
This article not only goes more in depth with the movie The Shining but also shows evidence of how family dynamics, trauma and the supernatural relate to children in horror movies. The main character, Jack Torrance, really struggles with his relationship his family due to alcohol, violence and despair. This reflects on his young son and really changes him as a person in the future.

The Shining is a film about a man with writer’s block and his family. The man, Jack Torrance, is an alcoholic that is slowly going insane. His son is trying to deal with the alcoholism and “The Shining”.
Reflection:
Part of my paper is focused on, the affects of alcoholism, related to a child. The Shining is a perfect example of the harmful things alcoholism can do to a family and especially the child.

Summary:
The Uninvited is a film about a girl, Anna, that attempts suicide after the death of her mother. Anna spins out of control because of her mother’s death. The affects of the death cause Anna to become very troubled and kill other people.
Reflection:
My paper focuses on the point of the loss of a parent. The Uninvited is an example of the affects that can happen to a child that loses a parent.
